Identity provider in the flow

What does an identity provider do?

An identity provider allows a counterparty to identify oneself using their identity documents. The information is extracted from the documents automatically to improve the user experience.

Configuring an identity provider results in an identity upload button being visible in the flow and FSP-side. Clicking the button will typically redirect the user to the external system, where they can provide their identity information. After finishing the process in the external system, the user will be redirected back to Harmoney and their identity details will be imported on the party individual.

Instructions

  1. Configure an identity provider of choice.
  2. The provider identifier must be configured in the settings of the IDENTITY module.
    • Although the settings suggest that multiple identity providers can be configured, the UI only supports a single provider at the moment.
  3. If an identity provider is configured in the module settings, it will be automatically available in the flow on the PARTY_DETAILS flow step.
    • The button can also be configured in a dedicated flow step. This allows making it mandatory to use the identity provider. In that case, you have to enable an additional flow step PARTY_IDENTITY_READOUT. If this flow step is enabled, the button will automatically be present in this flow step instead.
  4. PARTY_IDENTITY_DETAILS and PARTY_IDENTITY_DOCUMENTS must be added in order for the identity provider to work. These flow steps are used to display the retrieved identity information and documents.
