CreateDossierSameClient

Business goal

This action creates a new dossier for the same client as the triggering dossier.

When an associatedPartyFilter is configured, dossier creation only happens when at least one associated party on the triggering dossier matches that filter. If no associated parties match, the action succeeds but does not create a dossier.

Before creating anything, the action checks if a dossier already exists for the same client in the same FSP with the same configured dossierType and dossierService. If such a dossier exists, creation is skipped and the action still succeeds.

Configuration

  • Add the action CreateDossierSameClient.
  • Link this action to an appropriate event.

Settings

  • dossierType: Type of the dossier to create (required, defaults to KNOW_YOUR_CUSTOMER).
  • dossierService: Service of the dossier to create (required).
  • associatedPartyFilter: Optional filter to gate creation based on associated parties on the triggering dossier.

Notes

  • Before creating the dossier, the action validates that a dossier definition exists for the target combination of dossierType, dossierService, and client party type in the current FSP.
  • The action is idempotent for the combination of client + FSP + dossierType + dossierService: if a matching dossier already exists, no new dossier is created and the action returns success.
  • Dossier number and name are generated using the configured sequence provider; if no number can be generated, a random UUID is used as fallback.
