Overview

The system allows to create custom roles next to the build-in ones. These roles must have an identifier and a set of permissions.

The permissions defined what resources a role grants access to.

Note that the access system of the application is currently being migrated from strictly role based access, to more fine-graded role/permission based access.

The configuration format of the permissions is deliberately not documented at this moment because the format might change without providing backwards compatibility. This means that users might not be able to access certain resources without manual intervention. It is strongly advised to not add custom roles.
