Dow Jones

🎯 Functional documentation​

This provider uses basic party data (name, birthdate, …) & country code data fields (nationality, address, …) from the party to construct a request to the Dow Jones service. The response of the Dow Jones service is then mapped to one or more DD parameters, which will be set to YES or NO (depending on the presence of the corresponding icon_hint)

Applicable DD parameters​

This provider supports the parameters defined by the settings (see responseMapping) for entities Individual & Company.

Document generation​

If the setting to create a due diligence document is enabled (DUE_DILIGENCE_DOCUMENT_FETCH), following documents are generated:

  • A general report
  • A detailed report (an additional request is performed to retrieve these details)

Settings​

  • authentication (required):
    • clientId (required)
    • clientSecret (required)

    • tokenUri (required): https://accounts.dowjones.com/oauth2/v1/token
  • maxProfileDetailResultsCount: defines the maximum number of detailed profiles that will be retrieved to store in a PDF (default = 1). Set to 0 to skip report generation.
  • requestMapping: (required)
    • .contentSet: (required) Defines the content_set values for the request

    • .searchType: defines the search_type value for the request (default: Precise)
      • Precise: considers matches of at least 88% (runs a stricter fuzzy search)
      • Near: considers matches of at least 70% (runs on an intermediate fuzzy search)
      • Broad: considers matches of at least 50% (runs on an high level of fuzzy search)
    • .countryTerritoryTypeMapping: provides the mapping to construct the country_territory value for the request
      • Each entry in this mapping consists out of 2 properties:
        • fieldPath: the reference to the field that holds one or more countries (e.g. individual.nationality or company.address.countryCode).
        • countryTerritoryTypes: a List of territory types (these must match with the entries from the Dow Jones Taxonomy, e.g. “Citizenship”).
    • .useSearchKeyword: if set true will include additional search keywords with matching according to searchType (default: false)
      • INDIVIDUAL: matching with firstname and lastname
      • COMPANY: matching with name of the company
  • responseMapping:

    • A map of entries where the key correspond to the ‘iconHint’ and the value correspond to the Due Diligence Parameter that will be set on YES when the iconHint is found in the Dow Jones response (data.attributes.icon_hints[].icon_hint).

Dow Jones Search Types​
